Rhino® is proud to introduce the all new 100 Series rotary cutters. Including the models 148, 160, 172 and 184 in cutting widths of 48”, 60”, 72” and 84”respectivley, the new 100 Series is designed with the weekend farmer or rancher, or those needing to complete small scale utility grass, weed, or light brush cutting applications.
“Just as in some of our other mowing markets the potential owner in this market is demanding more from their cutter. They want more in the way of ease of use, appearance and cutting performance”, says Terry Engelke, Rhino Rotary Cutter Product Manager. “A lot of our customers have told us they want more than just a cheap cutter that doesn’t perform well or last long, they want a mower that is built better, cuts better, and lasts longer and that is what the 100 Series is designed to do”, Engelke adds.
First of all the 100 Series is easy to use. The cutters are available with a quick hitch compatible three-point hitch making attachment to the tractor a snap. To deliver an impressive new look and reduce material build up, the deck has been designed with robust bracing and on the Model 160 through 184 is domed front to rear and side to side.
A lot of thought also went into the design to provide an excellent cut. All 100 Series cutters feature a smooth, obstruction-free underside of the deck to allow better material flow through the cutting chamber. As a result, material is less likely to build up and there are fewer places for premature corrosion of the deck to begin. The side skirt depth has been increased considerably over previous models, front and rear safety guarding has been redesigned, the amount of updraft in the blades has been increased and on the models 160 and 184 the blade tip speed has been increased all in an effort to provide a cleaner cut.
